End of Year Reflection

My favorite thing that we've done this year is Scratch. In Scratch, my favorite project was the one Chelsea and I did together, Imma Be by The Black Eye Peas. It was basically a music video. It incorporated creativity. We had the idea of a bee singing Imma Be. We then had to incorporate different ideas for the different parts of the song.

I learned that a lot of work goes into animated videos/shows/movies. I'm most proud of they way we were able to work together, and how close each timing was. We had to match the words with the song at the exact time the song sang it.

Validation

A small complement can change a life. That's what I got from this video. It showed us how a smile or a kind word can turn a life around. Any should take this lesson and apply it to everyday life. That's how we could achieve true world peace. If everyone said something nice to their "enemy" we could change the world.

Multiple Intelligence

For the multiple intelligence test, I found it to be very interesting. I thought I would be more logical-mathematical or bodily-kinesthetic type of person. However, after i took the test, i found i was more interpersonal (people smart) and naturalistic (nature smart). This surprised me, but after I thought about it, I realized that it actually very accurate.

Photo Manipulation

To alter my photo, I chose to use Psykopaint. com. I really like use to different style of artists to paint my pictures. The SpiderWork tool was also very cool. It made my picture look like it had spikes coming out of it. Overall, I found this website to have a lot of fun tools that could entertain one for hours.

Video Game Laws

I thought to article was interesting and important to modern day society. With that, I completely agree with the law or not allowing minors to buy violent video games. These games put the idea that it's okay to break the law and kill people. It's the same sort of idea as "R" rated movies; no one under the age of 17 is allowed in these movies without a parent or guardian over the age of 21 accompanying them.

World Tour Reflection

For my World Tour, I chose to go to Ireland, Scotland, and Italy because I'm part Irish, Scottish, and Italian. I n this project, I had to use problem solving in order to figure out how I was going to afford the trip. We were given a $5,000 budget and I ended up using $4,994 of my budget. My flights alone were $3,400. In Ireland and Scotland I had to rent a car because there's no other way to get around. In Italy I could ride the Metro for about $22 for a week. However, the hotels cost a lot more in Italy than Ireland and Scotland.

What I learned from this project was how to use travel websites and other sites to research deals and other information about where I want to go. I am most proud of fitting in three amazing countries in 2 weeks and the organization I have. I am happy with my project because I put a lot of effort into it and the grade showed.

Reflections about Google SketchUp

I found Google SketchUp to be a ton of fun. The kind of things you could do and what you could make were a lot of fun. My favorite project was the "3D Dream Room." In this project we bulit a room with a chair, couches, a table, speakers, and a flat screen TV. The most challenging part was putting the furinature into the room. A lot of times the furinature would not sit on the walls or sit on the floor without going through the walls and floor. The rectangle and off-set tools came in handy in this project. This project was a lot of fun.
